Proxy Services with ESB

A proxy service acts as a middleman between a client and a server, receiving requests from the client, processing them, and forwarding them to the appropriate server. It then takes the server's response and delivers it back to the client. An ESB is an architectural pattern designed to facilitate communication between disparate systems in an organization. In a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) - an architectural style that aims for loose coupling between interacting software agents - an ESB plays a crucial role by providing a central hub through which these interactions can be managed and routed. Proxy services and ESB s can work hand in hand to boost the efficacy of service-oriented architecture (SOA) within an organization. With the advent of generative AI and the potential to leverage no-code models for integration made possible by GPT models, the future of the ESB will be very different from the traditional tools and patterns.
