Build Times of Java

These days, I am working with Java, and bulk of my time on a day is spent waiting for the build to complete. Yes, it is using Maven on command line, and it takes a lot of time.

I wish I could cut down time, at least in half. Comparatively, GNU make is amazing.

Get an SSD. Things will go much faster for the disk portion of the build.

Assuming you are in Windows platform, How about using Linux as the OS. As I heard from few friends, building time is much better in Linux compared to Windows.
