There are thousands of news articles mushrooming these days on the gloomy economy. As usual, news agencies are good at reporting the "bad" stuff.
When I look around, more often than not, I see negative stuff. News about layoffs, low consumer confidence, businesses making losses, etc., etc. Overall, it is a very dull feeling that you get out of all these.
However, history has shown, how people survived through tougher times. One thing that we often overlook is our ability to adopt, and live through the bad times.
And more than anything, our sprit, matters. Yes the economy is slow, yes it is going down, yes some businesses will close down, but we will live on. And more importantly, not that people will merely survive, we will learn some lessons and will redefine some aspects, for example, the way business organizations operate.
I personally believe that bad times are good. Hardships are golden opportunities. They will spring innovation, make people to think differently, learn from mistakes, and invent stuff that would otherwise have been unimaginable.

I agree with you on this, fully. If there is an unavoidable scenario like this, and we can't fight against it as an individual, we must look at the opportunities behind the dark cloud. When there is a difficulty we tend to find solutions to over come that situation, and that leads to innovations. If there was a world where every thing is perfect people will not be this smart or intelligent!.
But media, is most of the time talk the dark side just to keep the readers interested. I don't know why people like to read negative things than positives, it's a major issue in our community :(.
As you said, we must adjust to the situation, we must cut unnecessary costs, no matter the economy is slow or fast. :). And this is the high time to practice those good stuff and live on the life happily. :)
Good post Samisa.
