Obama Never Used Twitter

Obama is in China. He as speaking to a group of Chinese students.

Obama was asked by a student, "Do you know about the great firewall and should we be able to use Twitter?" His reply: "I have never used Twitter but I'm an advocate of technology and not restricting internet access."

Shocking, given that his account with 2.6 million followers has even been "verified" by Twitter headquarters!

Not rather surprising I believe. It was said social media played a huge role in building the brand "Obama", and we have to assume it wasn't Obama who maintained his Twitter account, FB account or Youtube channel. It was clever marketing by his campaign guys.However, it is shocking to hear as you said; because there was a news just after Obama's victory that he is sad to give up using his blackberry after being appointed as the president. That news story suggested, Obama is a huge Blackberry fan and he used it to be in touch with people throughout many social media profiles. If that news was true, it is shocking to hear Obama never used Twitter! But we can assume that the news story was a marketing ploy; may be by Blackberry themselves!
