The other day I was listening to Paul, WSO2 CTO, presenting to someone on our product platform, and he made this interesting comment:
But in essence, what we have is a unified platform. A platform that can be used to solve complex enterprise problems with lean and agile manner. The products, named for the sake of packaging feature sets, are building blocks, that can be used to build comprehensive solutions for an agile business.
What we have done, over the past few years, is to build a comprehensive platform, using which, enterprise security, governance and integration patterns could be realized, in quick time. This is one of the key reasons why some of our clients tell us that they tried vendor 'foo' but could not solve their problems like the way WSO2 platform could. Many vendoers focus on one or two aspects of a SOA deployment. Whereas WSO2 has addressed the full picture, from legacy application integration through to presentation and visualization of SOA elements in the architecture.
We have one product - a unified platform, that can be molded into the solution that the enterprise architects are looking for.
