WSO2 ESB has released the latest 4.6.0 version.
The highlight for this release is making the the high performing pass-through transport to be the default transport. Now all mediation scenarios can be executed without having to switch transports to get best performance based on the scenario being run.
Pass-through transport of WSO2 ESB has been in development for years, and has undergone major testing, including production battle testing.
In addition to the transport based enhancements, WSO2 ESB 4.6.0 also comes equipped with enhanced XSLT transformations capabilities and enhanced XPATH capabilities, to achieve optimal performance. This release is by far the best in the space of performance for WSO2 ESB.
As always, this release for WSO2 ESB is only a milestone in the evolutionary progression of the product. We are already working on WSO2 ESB 4.7.0 to enhance our connector support and out-bound transport support. Plus, the next major release plans on WSO2 ESB 5.0.0 is already being laid out.
You should also watch out for the ESB visual editor support to be related with the upcoming WSO2 Developer Studio in the coming weeks.
